for Mac
Drag a file, hold a key, and drop it on a petal. Images, video, audio, PDFs and archives are converted right on your Mac, and your originals are never touched.
macOS 14 Sonoma or later · Apple silicon & Intel
A better way to convert
A quick “convert HEIC to JPG” shouldn’t mean navigating ads, uploading a personal file to an unfamiliar server, and wondering what you’ll download in return.
Drag. Hold. Done.
The conversion happens on your Mac. Your new file lands beside the original. No upload, no ads, no mystery download button.
Try the petal wheelConvert local files on a flight, away from Wi-Fi, or whenever you prefer to stay offline.
HEIC to JPG uses Apple’s native image technology. Images, PDFs and supported video workflows benefit from macOS technologies and Apple’s hardware encoders.
One purchase puts the converter on your Mac, ready for the next file. Your originals stay untouched.
Local file conversion works offline after activation. Reconnect at least once every 30 days to refresh your license automatically. Link downloads and updates also need a connection.
The Petal Wheel
This is PinnaPetta on a Mac desktop. Drag any file, hold ⇧ for conversions or ⌥⇧ for tools, and drop it on a petal.
No keyboard? Tap the keys to hold them, then drag.
Pick up any file in Finder, on your desktop or in another app.
⇧ blooms conversions. ⌥⇧ blooms tools. Change either in Settings.
The new file lands beside the original. Nothing else changes.
Download from Link
A YouTube video, a TikTok, an Instagram Reel or a post on X. Paste a public video link, choose MP3 or MP4, and save it straight to a folder on your Mac.
Open Download from Link… in the menu bar or press ⇧⌘D.

High-quality audio, ready for your music library or editor.

Public videos, one at a time. Live streams and videos that require sign-in aren’t supported. Availability depends on the source platform.
Twenty tools
Trim a clip, crop a photo, shrink a PDF or read a QR code without opening another app. Each tool does one thing, beautifully.
Drag the ends, preview, apply. Cuts are frame-accurate, and audio can trim its own silence.
Square, 16:9, 9:16 or freeform, with live pixel dimensions. Works on photos and video.
Smaller images, video, audio and PDFs. If a file is already as small as it can get, PinnaPetta tells you instead of making a copy.
Strip location, camera and editing details before you share. Every frame of an animation is kept.
Find every QR code in a batch of images or a multi-page PDF, then copy the results.
Stitch clips together, cut one into many, or play it at anywhere from ¼× to 4×.

Built into your Mac
The wheel is the fastest way, but not the only one. PinnaPetta shows up wherever your files already are.
Control-click any file and choose Convert with PinnaPetta. Open With and drops on the Dock icon work too.
Convert Files, Run File Tool and Read QR Codes are built-in actions. Chain them, schedule them, or pin them as Finder Quick Actions.
On macOS Tahoe, PinnaPetta’s actions run straight from Spotlight. Type, pick a format, done.
Browse tools, follow progress and find past results in Activity. Click around the window.
Formats
Pick a format to see what it becomes. Video changes container without re-encoding whenever it can, and HDR stays HDR.
Private by design
No file uploads, no PinnaPetta account, no analytics. File conversions run locally on your Mac. When you download a video, PinnaPetta connects directly to its source platform and prepares the MP3 or MP4 on your Mac.
